Vice President Chiwenga Tours Zimbuild Government Project
The visit was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of the , Dr. Clever Ruswa, and other Government officials as part of efforts to monitor the implementation of strategic national infrastructure projects.
Harare – Zimbabwe Vice President, Dr. Constantino Chiwenga has toured a major Government infrastructure project under construction by Zimbuild, where he assessed progress alongside senior Government officials.
The visit was attended by the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Clever Ruswa, and other Government officials as part of efforts to monitor the implementation of strategic national infrastructure projects.
Announcing the visit on his Facebook page, Zimbuild Executive Chairman Dr. Tinashe Manzungu, described it as a significant milestone for the company and the country's infrastructure development agenda.
"It was a privilege to welcome the Honourable Vice President, Dr. C.G.D.N. Chiwenga, the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe CEO Dr. C. Ruswa and other distinguished Government officials to one of our active construction sites.
"This was a site visit to assess progress on the massive Government project that is under construction by Zimbuild," wrote Dr. Manzungu.
He said the inspection underscored the importance of collaboration between Government and private sector players in delivering critical national projects.
"The visit reflects the strong partnership between Government and the private sector in accelerating infrastructure development," he said.
Dr. Manzungu reaffirmed Zimbuild's commitment to supporting the country's development agenda through quality infrastructure delivery, employment creation and local participation.
"At Zimbuild, we remain committed to delivering quality, creating employment, empowering local contractors, and supporting Vision 2030 through sustainable infrastructure. What began as a vision is steadily becoming a reality, brick by brick," he said.
He also paid tribute to those supporting the company's work.
"My sincere appreciation goes to all our partners, stakeholders, employees and clients whose dedication continues to make this journey possible. Together, we are not just constructing buildings, we are building Zimbabwe's future," said Dr. Manzungu.
The Government has prioritised infrastructure development as a key driver of economic growth under Vision 2030, with public-private partnerships playing an increasingly important role in delivering major projects across the country.
The Vice President's visit forms part of ongoing Government oversight aimed at ensuring quality and timely completion of strategic infrastructure developments.
