Mbare Man (23) Given 15 Years for Sexually Assaulting Toddler (3)
A 23-year-old Harare man from Mbare has been sentenced to an effective 15 years in prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting a three-year-old neighbor.

Harare — The Harare Magistrate Courts have sentenced a 23-year-old man to an effective 15 years in prison for the aggravated indecent assault of a three-year-old child.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) confirmed the conviction and sentencing on Friday following medical evidence that verified the abuse.
The court heard that on April 12, 2026, the toddler was playing outside with friends when the convict, who was a neighbour, approached her and inserted his fingers into her privates.
The crime was exposed after the victim complained to her mother of severe pain and difficulty when urinating.
The mother took the child to a local hospital, where a medical examination was conducted and a forensic report was compiled.
"A subsequent police report led to the immediate arrest of the offender," the NPAZ said in a statement.
