Zimbabwe Republic Police exchanged fire with one suspect involved in the Ruwa US$108 000 heist in Seke, Chitungwiza, on 15 September, identified as William Shereni Manase. Three other suspects, including Obert Tinarwo alias Mambo Dhuterere have been named.
Harare – The Zimbabwe Republic Police has named three more suspects, who were previously identified by aliases, wanted in connection with the US$108 000 armed robbery at a company in Borders Estate, Ruwa, after a shoot-out with one of the alleged gang members in Chitungwiza.
The shootout incident occurred in Unit N, Seke, on 15 September 2026 and involved armed robbery suspect, William Shereni Manase.
National Police Spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi said Manase sustained a gunshot wound during the exchange of fire with police and escaped from the scene.
Officers recovered a Toyota Vitz vehicle, registration number AFF 7478, at the location.
Manase is being sought in connection with the robbery that took place at around 12:30pm on 13 September 2026 at the Borders Estate company, during which the US$108 000 in cash was stolen after workers were attacked and restrained.
Police are pursuing three other suspects linked to the same incident who have been using aliases.
They have been identified as Obert Tinarwo, alias Mambo Dhuterere; James Dhlora, alias Kasongo and David Majagada, alias Kule Dhivha.
Wanted suspect, James Dhlora alias Kasongo or DB.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police clarified earlier that the person referred to as Mambo Dhuterere is not the gospel musician who uses the same stage name.
Three other suspects, Tinei Makaripe, Pungurayi Mukumbachaza and Gabriel Mukambachaza, were arrested in the days following the Ruwa robbery.
Cash, firearms, including a Tokarev pistol previously stolen in a March 2026 Southerton robbery, explosives, handcuffs and balaclavas were recovered during the arrests.
The trio is also being linked to other armed robberies in Rusape and Harare.
Commissioner Nyathi issued a strong warning to armed robbery syndicates operating in the country.
“The ZRP warns armed robbery syndicates that there is no going back in the fight against armed robbery cases throughout the country.
"Criminals who choose to confront or engage in a shoot-out with police officers will have themselves to blame and will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” he said.
Police are also appealing to members of the public with any information on the outstanding suspects to report to the nearest police station.
David Majagada, alias Kule Dhivha.
