Kwekwe, Zimbabwe - Five armed robbers stormed Doves Funeral Parlour in Kwekwe on Friday October 24, making off with property worth US$410.
The gang assaulted workers and security guards in the process, police have said.
Midlands police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, says the robbery occurred at approximately 1:00 AM after the gang jumped over a precast wall.
"Property worth US$410 was lost when a five-men gang armed with iron bars and axes pounced on a funeral undertaker company, Kwekwe on 24 October 2025 at about 0100 hours.

"They started beating them with axe handles and iron bars, demanding to know where the company cash was kept," Mahoko says.
The assailants tied the victims' hands and legs before searching them.
"They took a Huawei Y9 cell phone, a G-Tel Delta cell phone, and a Samsung A06 cell phone, all valued at $410 and went away," Mahoko adds.
