ZRP Seeks Interpol Aid to Capture Geza

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) sought the services of the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) and regional security forces as it intensifies its pursuit of President Emmerson Mnangagwa critic, war veteran Blessed Geza.

Geza is accused of challenging President Mnangagwa’s leadership and encouraging public unrest.

Previously a member of Zanu PF’s central committee, Geza was removed from the ruling party in April due to claims of misconduct.

His expulsion followed public remarks where he condemned Mnangagwa, alleging corruption and poor governance that he said contributed to Zimbabwe’s economic downturn.

Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the police spokesperson, informed Zimbabwe's The Independent publication that Zimbabwe has officially requested assistance from Interpol and regional law enforcement to expand the search for Geza, who is still evading capture.

"The police are actively seeking Blessed Geza in connection with ongoing criminal investigations.

"It is accurate that the Zimbabwe Republic Police has reached out to Interpol and relevant regional police agencies as the investigation progresses,” Nyathi said.

Geza has persisted in posting videos on YouTube, urging Mnangagwa to resign.

In a recent video from an undisclosed location, he commended Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga for allegedly removing businessman Kuda Tagwirei from a Zanu PF central committee meeting held last week.
