Zimbabwe Independent Editor Faith Zaba was arrested yesterday because of an article that appeared in the weekly paper, raising more concerns about press freedom in Zimbabwe.
Zaba is expected in court Wednesday Morning facing a charge of " Undermining the authority of President Emmerson Mnangagwa. "
The weekly published a satirical story last Friday that said under Zimbabwe ' s Chairmanship " SADC had become a trade union of dictators ".
Zaba handed herself to the police after the authorities had looked for her at Alpha Media Holdings offices.
She becomes the second AMH journalist arrested in the past 2 months after Blessed Mhlanga was arrested and detained for 72 days.
